Time to change
I wasn't happy at being 22 stone, but I didn't feel motivated to do anything about it until I went to a close friends birthday celebrations late October 2015 put reality in to perspective. The party was great but deep down I was feeling depressed with the way I looked as I caught the odd reflection in the patio window.
I needed to take control of my weight and joined a local gym. I started exercising early mornings at 5am. I trained early so that people didn’t see me in my sack size t-shirt and MC hammer bottoms. I also joined a local weight watcher’s session. The team at WW were great and I started to learn about food and also met other people in the same boat. Even though I was exercising and using up lots of calories, I knew my eating habits were preventing me from losing the weight. I just ate too much!
I left WW after nearly reaching my goal weight. I decided to go it alone to lose the final 14 ibs and stand on my own two feet.
Through trial and error and figuring out what worked best for me. I made life style changes, which have stuck with me today. I’m now committed to my last 14lbs weight loss and maintaining my weight without missing out on parties and fun. I hope my tricks and tips will inspire you and you will share your own ideas with me too.
