My name is Gary. I created Weight Motivate.co.uk. I want to share my journey of weight loss and hopefully encourage, motivate and inspire you to achieve your weight loss goals.w Paragraph
My journey started January 2016 weighing in at 22 stone . Its been a massive learning curve, understanding my behaviour with food and becoming self motivated to achieve positive outcomes..
Time to change
I wasn't happy at being 22 stone, but I didn't feel motivated to do anything about it until I went to a close friends birthday celebrations late October 2015 put reality in to perspective. The party was great but deep down I was feeling depressed with the way I looked as I caught the odd reflection in the patio window.
I needed to take control of my weight and joined a local gym. I started exercising early mornings at 5am. I trained early so that people didn’t see me in my sack size t-shirt and MC hammer bottoms. I also joined a local weight watcher’s session.
The team at WW were great and I started to learn about food and also met other people in the same boat.
Even though I was exercising and using up lots of calories, I knew my eating habits were preventing me from losing the weight. I just ate too much!
I left WW after nearly reaching my goal weight. I decided to go it alone to lose the final 14 ibs and stand on my own two feet.
Through trial and error and figuring out what worked best for me. I made life style changes, which have stuck with me today.
I’m now committed to my last 14lbs weight loss and maintaining my weight without missing out on parties and fun.
I hope my tricks and tips will inspire you and you will share your own ideas with me too.
